Wonderland Stamina and Shared Lives

Why walking is a resource and why a teammate’s death is also yours.

Stamina and Shared Lives

Two launch-week facts end more Wonderland sits than Mr. Sun. Stamina refills while you walk, not while you freeze. Lives are a squad pool of three, not three each. If you treat either rule like The Mimic, you will donate a wipe to a hallway that did not need one. This page is the long version of those two sentences. Pair it with how to survive for chase habits and co-op for randoms.

Wonderland shipped on 14 August 2026 on mobile, PC, and console. The stamina bar and the three-life device both appear in the official trailer on Getting Started. They are not cosmetics. They are the budget for every puzzle, every Shop stop, and every argument about who “just scouted.”

Stamina is a walk bar

Sprint spends the bar. Walk returns it. Standing still is a weak recover and a loud invitation if a hunter is already in the room. The controls page lists the platform buttons. This page lists the habit: burst, then walk toward the next gate, not toward a decorative stall.

A full bar is for leaving a room, not for touring the midway. If you arrive at a lever wall empty, you will start the puzzle already late. If Wonder is in the sit, sprint noise is a homing beacon — see named threats. Walking is stealth and regen at the same time.

Phone players dump the bar by holding the sprint thumb. Console players do the same with a trigger. PC players hold Shift like a parkour title. All three need the same rule: tap, do not glue. Recover on the walk to the next interactable.

Three lives, one pile

A solo player has three lives. A five-stack has three lives. That is the whole sentence. A death spends the pile. A downed random in a five-row is as expensive as your own mistake. The lobby does not give extra hearts because more people sat down.

This is why solo can feel safer than a public five: you control every spend. It is also why a stack that talks lasts longer than a stack that sprints to “see what’s over there.” Radio on the shop item list is a life tool, not a toy.

If the device in the trailer still shows three after a scare, you are lucky, not rich. Bank the remaining lives for a gate, not for a joke Trumpet in a dead hall. Combat is for the fights you cannot walk around. Most deaths are stamina deaths wearing a monster costume.

How the two rules stack

Empty stamina plus a hunter is a life. Empty stamina plus a puzzle is a late Ticket pile and a late escape. A teammate who sprints to a fake Wander exit spends a life the Map would have saved. Buy vision first on the loadouts page, then argue about the Minigun.

Codes do not refill lives. RELEASE26 pays Gems. Gems are not a fourth heart. Redeem in the lobby, then board with a full bar and a spoken plan: who holds Radio, who opens the Shop, who does not sprint first.

Practice loop

  1. Leave the lobby Shop after redeeming.
  2. Walk the first thirty seconds of the park on purpose.
  3. Sprint only to clear a doorway or a grab.
  4. Finish the station you opened before you tour.
  5. If a life drops, say it out loud so the stack stops scouting.

That loop is boring. It is also how you still have two lives when the first real gate appears. Settings and warnings will tell you to raise graphics so you can see flicker; this page tells you not to sprint at the flicker.

When a patch changes regen or the life count, what’s new will date it. Until then, walk more than your pride wants, and treat every death as a squad invoice.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Does stamina recover if I stand still?

Poorly. Walk to refill. Standing still is not the recovery plan.

Does each player get three lives?

No. The squad shares three. Solo still has three. Five players still have three.

Does sprint attract Wonder?

Yes. Wonder homes on sprint noise. Walk when that hunter is in the sit.

Can a code restore a life?

No. RELEASE26 pays Gems. Lives only change if ScaryPlay patches the rule.

Should I play solo to learn stamina?

Yes. Solo spends only your mistakes. Read the solo guide after this page.
